Ivy's First Tea Party

I had the pleasure of making a few bits and pieces for adorable Miss Ivy's 1st Birthday.

Her clever mama Beth of Johny and June designs, has been kind enough to share some beautiful photos from Ivy's special day.

What a relaxed and fun vibe this party has about it.  From the garden setting, to the help yourself cheese board and desserts, to the stunning lace tee pee's that Beth made herself.  Oh and of course the miniature trestle table and matching bench seats at the 'decorate your own tea cup' station - just adorable!

Beth has just launched her new label, Johny and June Designs, where she offers a beautiful range of products, including the lace teepees and trestle tables used at Miss Ivy's party, as well as an event styling service.  Beth is based on the mid north coast of NSW (Newcastle area) and can be found on Instagram @johnyandjunedesigns

baby feather's shower

Some images of a beautiful baby shower that was held on the weekend for my friend Kristen of Dwell and Drobe.

The sun was shining, the drinks were flowing and baby feather was certainly spoilt.

The amazing mother to be whipped up a storm of delicious home made dishes that would put a lot of restaurants to shame.  The menu included truss tomatoes with basil and bocconcni, roasted sweet potatoes with pomegranate and chilli, french chicken, oven baked salmon with chilli, rare roast beef and roasted cauliflower with capers and raisins -YUM!

After the main meals we were treated to a selection of macarons, the most stunning water colour feather cookies by Hello Naomi cookies and cakes, a tasty carrot cake topped with a custom sign made by Grain and Co. and a rhubarb yoghurt upside down cake baked by an aunty to be.

Such a lovely way to spend our Sunday afternoon.

Now we play the waiting game until we meed bubs x

hungry caterpillar 1st birthday

Aiden celebrated his first birthday on perhaps what was the soggiest weekend in February.  Even though it was raining it was a gorgeous afternoon that was made so much brighter by his adorable little smile and the way his beautiful bold bright party marquee was set up.

Aiden's mumma did an amazing job bringing it all together. It looked like a page straight out of the Hungry Caterpillar book.  There was plenty of yummy food, if the caterpillar was a guest he'd have been in his element, with each piece of food he consumed in the book finding it's place on the party table!
