Piccolo Studio in your room - Miss Millie

The last but not least entry in the Piccolo Studio in your room competition, is the beautiful bedroom of Miss Millie.  Millie is the youngest entrant at 5 months old.  She is the little sister of Sophie whose room featured a few weeks ago.

Millie's pretty room is also featured in the current winter edition of Little One magazine.  Her clever mummy Emma set the design of her room around her gum ball rug and silver spotty wall decals.

Millie sleeps in her Leander cot and has an Oeuf change table, both of which were previously used by big sister Sophie.  Like most of the kids rooms I have featured this month she has a set of cubes from Ikea for all of her little bits and pieces that she will soon love to play with.  These are such a practical and cost effective storage and display option these days!

Millie's growing collection of Sonny Angel dolls are displayed proudly on her heart shaped Bride and Wolfe shelf along with some of her special little shoes that she is still to grow into.

One corner of her room is set up as a play and reading area, it is defined by the felt ball rug, and is where her uba bub perspex book shelves are on the wall.

Millie's room also features some Piccolo Studio items including a peach, pink and silver dotty garland, as well as two prints that hang above her cot.  One is a personalised chalk board print while the other is peach with confetti detail and the words 'don't forget to be awesome'.

Thank you to Chantelle Bliss of Forever Bliss photography for allowing us to use these images.

Piccolo Studio in your room - Master Lucas

One of the final entries in my Piccolo Studio in your room competition is Master Lucas' bedroom.

Lucas is seven, and has recently moved into a new house with his Mum, Dad and little brother Benjamin.  This has meant his Mum Kelly has been a very busy lady redesigning kitchens, living rooms and two kids bedrooms.  Their rooms are still a work in progress, but I think Kelly has done a lovely job so far.

Lucas' bedroom has been decorated with a woodland and industrial feel which is perfect for a boy of his age.

Looking at his room it is easy to see what he loves, with lots of Star Wars pieces and Lego storage.  His replica Anna Castelli Ferrieri Componibili makes for a great bedside table as well as giving Lucas somewhere to put his bits and pieces.  His minion looks quite at home on the top shelf!

Above his bed hangs a cluster of artworks, including a scrabble board of his name that Kelly made for him.  Kelly sells her work under the label Townhouse 212, her works range from scrabble art works, to beautiful Christmas and Easter sacks and more.

A one in a Melon fox artwork on linen, a ply deer head and hanging light bulb in a cage are the perfect touch to complete woodland industrial feel.

Piccolo Studio in your room - Miss Asha

This adorable room belongs to Miss Asha, who is eight months old and resides in the seaside suburb of Torquay in Victoria. This beach babe happens to be the little girl of my very talented cousin Mel.

I never doubted that Asha’s room would be anything short of gorgeous, as Melissa is an Interior Designer.

Mel has worked in Interior Design for large firms and has been involved on projects including a Dubai shopping centre, ‘Luxury Collection' hotel in China, luxury penthouse apartments in Dubai and ‘The Grand Hyatt’ hotel in Sydney just to name a few.  She has also worked on smaller scale residential projects for architects and builders on the Bellarine Peninsular in Victoria as well as inner city Melbourne.

Since having Asha, Mel has left her full time job to concentrate on being a mummy.  Being so creative and hands on, she has recently started a business that allows her to work flexible hours from home.

Merry and Tell is where Melissa creates beautiful bespoke pieces for baby and for home.  Her latest products are beautifully sewn and quilted organic cotton dual-purpose baby blankets/play mats.  The range includes soon to be released hand picked fabrics in gorgeous prints and colours.

I love that Asha's room includes an eclectic mix of designer pieces, hand made items as well as pre loved.  Asha is fortunate to have some older cousins that gave her a simple white cot and change table to use, which made for a good starting point in decorating the room.  A comfortable replica Eames rocker compliments the white furniture perfectly as does her timber floor lamp.

Asha’s room is filled with a myriad of treasures made by her mummy, including the beautiful fabric hanging garland, the neon pink macramé plant hanger, the pompom garland that hangs on the wall behind Asha’s cot as well as some Merry and Tell art works that feature on her book shelves.

Asha’s room also features some Piccolo Studio.  She has a personalised alphabet on chalk print and Mel has framed one of my cards with the word ‘hola’ and little rain clouds.  The colour is perfect for the theme and has been beautifully accessorised with some colourful geometric shaped planters.

Piccolo Studio in your room - Miss Ava

This very fun, bold bright bedroom belongs to Miss Ava, Ava is almost four years old.

Ava just LOVES her confetti wall which is a more recent addition to her room.  She enjoys sitting and playing with her tea set, Peppa Pig house and reading from her book collection to her baby brother Aiden.  Their favourite story to share is The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

Ava has a globe in her room so that she can map out where all her family are.  Her mummy is Canadian, and she has family and friends over in Canada so it is important to know where they all are in relation to Australia!

Having a king single bed in her room means there is always room for Mummy or Daddy to snuggle in for a bed time story, or for her dog Pepper the Jack Russell to join her under the soft lighting that the fairy lights strung above her bed set off.

Piccolo Studio items in Ava's room:

- Bedroom rules print
- Oh the places you'll go print
- Love heart garland created especially to match Ava's bed covers

Piccolo Studio in your room - Master Aiden

This sweet bedroom belongs to Master Aiden.  Aiden is one year and four months old, and has a gorgeous bedroom that he loves to explore, play and read in with his big sister Ava.

Aiden's room is filled with natural light thanks to his east facing window and plantation shutter.  It has been decorated in beautiful fresh tones of lemon, soft grey and a few hints of navy blue and black thanks to his clever mummy Nicole.

Aiden's white Ikea cube book case holds his story books, and a night light, while the baskets below are a practical storage solution for his growing toy collection!

Piccolo Studio in your room - Miss Sophie

This pretty bedroom belongs to Miss Sophie.  Sophie is three and a half, and her room is laden with goodies any little girl would dream of.  She has recently become a big sister which meant handing over her cot/toddler bed to her baby sister.  Sophie loves having a big girl bed and playing in her room.

Sophie's room has been put together by her clever mummy Emma, and features pink, red and gold as the feature colours, keeping things fun.

Her Oeuf libary shelf displays all of her precious belongings, as does an ikea cube book case.  Her mini eames table and chairs are the perfect place to play in the centre of the room, while her little white display shelf is the perfect home for her Sonny Angels collection.

Piccolo Studio in your room - Master Morgan

Time for a boys space!  This is my Morgan's bedroom, he is now four and is seriously into his room.

Morgan loves to sit in here and play lego, read books and do puzzles.  He is definitely a home boy.  Most mornings he asks what is happening that day, and if I answer we are having a home day, it is like his Christmases have all come at once.

What I love about his room -

He has plenty of floor space to spread his lego, puzzles and toys out which is great, because I don't love having toys throughout the living area.  Like Willow's room he has a few timeless pieces, and while he doesn't have a nice doll collection I have started a small collection of danish timber animals for him, that hopefully one day he will pass on to his own kids.

The Oeuf library book shelf in his room is such a great way to display his nice toys and is excellent for storage with the two cupboard doors.  Like most kids these days we also have a set of the white Ikea storage cubes, they are awesome for all of his books, and the baskets have a bit of everything thrown in.

What he loves about his room -

The trundle bed means he can have his favourite people sleep over, like his great grand father, and his favourite small person, his cousin Kingsley.

TV, eeeerrr, Morgan has a television and blue ray in his wardrobe.  You can look at it as slack parenting or genius!  Everything in moderation.

Piccolo Studio items in his room -

- Monochrome and silver dotty garland
- Set of four cut paper artworks behind his bed in the navaho/alpine design to match his doona cover.

Piccolo Studio in your room - Miss Willow

The first kids space to appear as part of my 'Piccolo Studio in your room' feature is my little girls bedroom.

Her room has been a bit of a work in progress and is continually evolving as I like to change things around quite regularly.

What I love about her room -

I have invested in a few key items that I think Willow will always have, and perhaps take with her when she moves out of home.  Timeless items like the Muuto dot wall hooks, Muuto pendant light in pale pink, Bride and Wolfe circle shelf, the custom family tree print in peach black and white that I had made by a lady in Canada.  I would also like to think she will always have her silver Morrocan pouffe, and the danish style TV chair that my husband restored and we had re-upholstered.

What she loves about her room -

Emptying the entire contents of the Ikea book case, book shelves, and two toy baskets.  Her room faces west so it is beautiful to play in there in the afternoon sun.

Piccolo Studio items in her room -

- dotty garland
- feather paper artwork
- shower me with love paper artwork
- always remember you are loved confetti print
