the perfect country wedding

Over the long weekend we had the pleasure of attending the wedding of some dear friends up in the Queensland countryside.

The ceremony took place in a gorgeous garden within a rose farm.  The beautiful bride arrived in style - in a side cart on a motorbike driven by her Dad.

After the ceremony the newlyweds arrived at their chilled out reception in a timber canoe that they had paddled across Lake Moogerah.

The reception set up included a stunning vintage timber caravan named Mr Jenkins that served the drinks.  There were yummy DIY cheese platters, wood fired pizzas, a tea station set up in an antique cupboard, endless macarons and cakes as well as an amazing live band who were brought in from Byron Bay.

It could not be further from what I had for my own wedding, but it was just perfect!  It totally reflected the happy couple and the details were beautiful.

I've had a few people ask me to share some photos of the space we created for our new bubba, so here are a few.

It is still not complete, with the last piece still on its way.  My husband has been restoring an old danish style reclining arm chair that is to be reupholstered and placed where the bassinet sits at the moment.  The wall colour was matched from the birth announcements I made for Willow earlier in the year.

I love her room and thankfully she seems to like it too.  For now I will enjoy it being nice and tidy, because as she grows I don't think it will be!

 

One of my favourite things in the room is the family tree print, it goes back to Willow's great grandparents.  It will be a good talking point when she is a bit older.

piccolo studio's first stockist

I'm a bit excited today after delivering some cards and tags to my first retailer!

It is a gorgeous little store located in Como, in the Sutherland Shire. Darling x Two is filled with all of my favourites, there is so much to choose from if you are looking for something for your own place or for a gift for a friend.  It is hard to walk in and not see something that you have to have!

first birthday invitations

I've just finished these sweet invitations for my gorgeous nephew's first Birthday.  I can't believe he is already turning 1, it feels like yesterday we received the news that he had been born.

I'm super excited to have just opened up a store on Etsy!  It is something I've been wanting to do for a while and just haven't gotten around to.

birth announcements

I was racking my brain trying to come up with a birth announcement card that is both pretty, can stand on its own and provides the recipient with a good quality image of the new arrival.  I think this one ticks all the boxes, we had a wonderful response from our friends and family who received our thanks.

I loved the colour of the announcement card so much that I had Dulux colour match it so that I could use it on the walls in Willow's room, I am so happy with the end result!

I am loving these new chalk board cards, I'm in the process of adding some prints to the range as well.

It has taken a while but I feel like I am finally getting back on top of things and have had new orders coming in which is great!  I am currently working on some really sweet Baptism invites for a very handsome little man, as well as my baby girls Baptism invites for later this year.
